The course starts on April 22nd, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. with an online introductory event. Everyone who has registered for the course will receive a link to participate in advance. - Further dates are May 6th, May 13th, May 27th, which will take place in presence, and a last date on June 10th, which again will be realized online.
The course prepares you for the SBF theory test and provides information about options for practical training.
The time required to learn theory and practice is between 20 and 50 hours and depends on the respective certificate.
The exam can be taken on different weekends. The course prepares in particular for the exam on June 15th in Frankfurt (Main). Further dates are around July 13th and August 10th, also in Frankfurt.
A medical certificate and a passport photo are required to register for the exam (total costs approx. 30-60 euros). Registration for the exam must be made for the exam on June 15th by June 7th at the latest. Fees for the test are between 130 euros (SBF inland) and 220 euros (SBF inland motor & sail + SBF sea).
Depending on the scope and provider, the practical training costs between 100 and 300 euros for SBF See and SBF Inland Motor, and usually takes place one to two weeks before the practical exam.
The costs for additional teaching materials are 20-60 euros.
